Take the stress out of your stay with our delicious homecooked meals. Each meal is handmade from scratch using the finest and where possible local ingredients, I try to use as much produce from our garden a possible. The meals are for 2 people (1000ml) and come with simple cooking instructions.
Please note: You will need to buy the accompaniments as you want ie rice for the curry etc
Venachar Chicken Curry
A recipe adapted from a trip to India a few years ago. Chicken thigh meat marinated in spices and cooked in a tomato, fenugreek ginger chilli and garlic sauce thickened with ground almonds.
Smoked haddock and prawn fish pie
Undyed Smoked haddock and prawns cooked in a creamy sauce with fresh tarragon and dry chardonnay wine topped with golden mashed potato, parmesan and a sprinkle of dulse seaweed.
Beef cheeks with prunes and star anise
Dark and sticky, these ox cheeks are slowly braised with prunes, vermouth, star anise and fennel until meltingly tender.
Steak and haggis pie
A Scottish classic, beef steak cooked with red wine and fresh herbs combined with succulent haggis and topped with a buttery flaky pastry
Lentil Shepherd’s Pie
A super filling meat free wonder! Lentils braised with onion celery carrot, roast garlic and fresh herbs topped with buttery sweet potato and a sprinkle of seaweed.
Chinese pork belly with cherries and shitake mushrooms
Absolutely delicious if a little unusual, diced pork belly slow cooked with Chinese spices, fresh chilli, ginger, garlic, mushrooms and cherries
Leek and potato soup
A thick and creamy french classic leeks and potatos are braised slowly with garlic and plenty of butter then combined with fresh vegetable stock, served with a homemade seaweed sourdough loaf.
